Birdability® (September)

Meet your friends from Sequoia TR and new friends from the Tacoma Bird Alliance at the Tacoma Nature Center to look and listen for birds hiking along Snake Lake. This nature preserve is smack dab in the middle of town, yet it provides habitat for so many animals.  Learn about birds (and other wildlife) on this Birdability® walk.  Naturalists and Birdability® Captains will point out and teach us about the birds we see or hear. This is a compact gravel trail—not a paved path—but it is pretty solid.  It sprinkles, drizzles, and rains in the PNW—please wear proper clothing for the weather.

Birdability® (November)

Meet us at Tahoma Bird Alliance headquarters—Adriana Hess Wetland Park—to explore rain or shine. These trails are not paved, but they are wide and have gentle slopes. There is a viewing deck less than a mile from the parking lot with a fantastic view of the wetland, where we hope to see Red-winged blackbirds, warblers, woodpeckers, and more! If it is pouring, we will meet indoors on-site.  It sprinkles, drizzles, and rains in the PNW—wear proper clothing for the weather.
