Join us for social get-togethers and excursions that promise a fun time while encouraging independence. Sequoia Therapeutic Recreation offers weekly social group activities to promote community engagement and inclusion. Recreation Leaders are always on-hand to facilitate the fun!

We understand that plans can change! If you need to cancel, please call at least 5 days before the event for a full refund. See our full to Cancellation Policy and Grievance Policy for details.

As a small nonprofit, Sequoia TR strives to keep costs low. Unfortunately, DDA does not cover the cost of activities participants do not attend. If you’re unable to make it, we kindly ask you to consider making a donation to help cover the cost of your missed activity: Donation Link.

You've seen a few folks wearing the Sequoia tie dyed shirts. Here is your chance to sign up for this one time Tie Dye fun with the Sequoia Social. We will be tie dying Sequoia branded white t-shirts with friends. Please bring a snack and a drink if you want one. Be prepared to get dirty and have fun. Everyone who wants to dye a shirt needs to register so we get the right amount of shirts. IF you are already registered for the Sequoia Social, you do not need to register for this.

Join us for an entertaining afternoon at the Tacoma Armory downtown Tacoma, where you can engage in a delightful social dice game with your friends! Gather in groups of four to roll the dice for points in the lively game of Bunco. Throughout the game, expect friendly rotations of seats and tables. Join Sequoia TR for a 10-week social recreational bowling session with friends. Meet at Bowlero Lanes of Lakewood. Bowling starts at 4pm, practice bowling is from 3:50-4pm. Teams of three will bowl two games, no lane switching. All levels welcome. Please tell us if you would like to bowl with a specific friend. STR staff will do our best to partner folks together. Registration fee includes shoe rentals and games. Please give us a heads up if you won't make it to practice. If you are late and your team has bowled more than 5 frames we will add you in on the second game.

Each Tuesday evening we will tee off on the William's Nine at 5:30, 5:40, and 5:50. You choose to play footgolf or golf each week, no commitments required. Try them both we think you'll like it.
